Diancui is an ancient traditional metalwork technique, which can be traced back to the Warring States Period. Used by the imperial palace in ancient times, it is a work of art made of colorful blue feathers with few kingfisher tails, symbolizing power and status. During the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty, Dian Cui's craftsmanship has reached its peak, not only making exquisite jewelry, but also various daily utensils often decorated with Cui Yu. In 1933, the last Diancui factory in China was finally closed, because the Diancui feathers had disappeared.
