Lin Ming Chen, oil painter, expert in colors, is the professor of Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts, committee of Chinese Calligraphy and Art Association, vice-chairman of the National Artists' Association of China, honorary president of Hong Kong Oil painting Research, assessor of Hong Kong Arts Development Council (Visual Arts).
 

As an artist with a classical temperament, he is calm, introverted and tenacious. With a great ease, he combines the exquisite Western oil painting technique with the esthetic implication of Chinese culture, demonstrating the charm of the aboriginality image of Chinese oil painting. This time more than twenty pieces will be present in Art of Nature Contemporary Gallery, including portraits and landscape. The works in the character and human body series are plain and dignified, attractive and nimble. Based on the classical painting foundation and the lights representation skills under impressionist, he pays great attention on catching the fast changing light and shade, and expressing personal feelings and intrinsic vitality of human.
 

Prof. Lin’s works clearly reflect his love and understanding toward nature and human, this is what makes his works appealing and moving.
